I wrote a 250–300 word academic article review. Act as a reviewer and coach, not a writer. Do not rewrite my review or add information from the original article.

Check whether my review clearly and accurately includes:

  1. Problem and purpose: the research problem, purpose of the study, and research question(s).
  2. Methodology: participants/context, research design, and main method(s) of data collection.
  3. Major findings: the two or three most important findings and, when appropriate, what the authors believe they mean.
  4. Conclusions and relevance: the authors’ main conclusion, an important limitation/implication/recommendation when relevant, and how the article relates to my own research.
  5. Academic writing: accurate reporting of the authors’ ideas, effective paraphrasing, appropriate APA in-text citations, academic register, organization, coherence, and a word count of 250–300 words.

For each area, rate it as Complete, Partially Complete, or Needs Attention and briefly explain why.

Then:

  • Identify the three most important improvements I should make.
  • Point to the specific sentence or section that needs attention.
  • Ask questions or give hints that help me make the revision myself.
  • Do not rewrite sentences for me or provide replacement sentences.
  • Do not invent information that is not included in my review.

Finish with a short checklist I can use before submitting the assignment.
